45th Parallel

Lawrence Abu Hamdan is an independent researcher focusing on linguistics and sound. His findings have been used at the UK Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and as an advocacy tool for organisations such as Amnesty International. In 45th Parallel, a monologue is performed in a building on a borderline. Hamdan intelligently exposes the absurdity of borders and the often hypocritical legislation around them.

On November 25th, the literary festival Het Betere Boek will take place at De Krook in Ghent. Besides readings and interviews, the programme also includes this short film.
