Thiago Carvalhaes

Thiago Carvalhaes (Brazil, 1990) is a documentary filmmaker based in São Paulo. He finished his master's degree in Documentary Film Directing at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels as part of the DocNomads programme. À Gis was his thesis film, followed by Socialist Monopoly in 2019. Carvalhaes’ first feature documentary will focus on Rute Bianca, a dear friend of Gisberta, the late protagonist in À Gis.
