For Your Beautiful Eyes

In 1929, Henri Storck made the observational documentary Images d'Ostende. Then, with Felix Labisse, who became assistant secretary of the Club du cinéma founded by Storck in Ostend, he made the rather surreal For Your Beautiful Eyes. In it, a young man buys a glass eye that he sends around by post. Eroticism and social criticism eventually merge in the film.

The physical copy of Henri Storck's For Your Beautiful Eyes was entrusted to Cinémathèque française for restoration at the time but was lost and has not been recovered. Art Cinema OFFoff will screen the digital version.

Besides this film by Storck, the short film programme Rondom Mooie Ogen also shows his 1945 Kunstenaarsontmoeting, and short works by Alain Resnais, Man Ray, Hans Richter, Takahiko Iimura, and others.
